Need IRC for 4chan

I applied as a janitor on 4chan (basically a moderator with less
abilities. One of the requirements was to be tech-savvy, which I am,
but it specified needed to communicate to the team via IRC. I have a
basic understanding of it, and I'm considering using HexChat. Any
advice?

Also, the HexChat page says to make sure all Python and Perl
installations are installed for all users. But I want to keep that
stuff on my profile. What does it mean by this?

What OS? If on Linux, just install `hexchat` from the repositories.
Should be good to go.

That said, my goto client is `irssi`.

Hexchat if you're on Windows or Linux.

Enable SSL and connect to port 6697.

There are a huge number of channels on there that contain 4channers
and ex-4channers.
