Beginner's Help reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- exodius06 · 2016-01-26 17:18 I have been using hexchat for awhile not and using websites to find what I'm looking for but I keep seeing people using commands like !search and !latest. I've tried these commands the same way they use and I get results but I don't know what the limits/capabilities of these commands are, what other command/filters I might be able to use. I've done some basic searches and turned up nothing but I may not even be using the right terms. Just looking for somewhere that maybe lists the commands and how they can be used if anyone can help with something like that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AltReality · 2016-01-26 17:49 Those commands are picked up by a bot in that specific channel. They are not part of an IRC standard, and will not work in any other channels (unless another channel happens to be running a copy of the same bot)... You may want to try **!help** or **/msg help** for information, or possibly ask an op (@) if you can get ones attention. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- exodius06 · 2016-01-26 19:11 Thank you, !help gives me a list of their commands and details on what they do. This is exactly what I needed.
