Some modern IRC servers will crash Comic Chat. [I wrote a proxy
script](https://gist.github.com/richardg867/bb19ca2b03545f71ae15) to
fix it.

So each person chooses a character. Each time the say something they
choose an expression and dialogue and once submitted it becomes its
own 'cell' in the comic strip?

Yeah, pretty much, though I think the client assigns all channel users
a random character if they aren't using Microsoft Chat

Unfortunately it doesn't quite work as well under [os x and
wine](https://i.imgur.com/ySESVEn.png).

Microsoft Comic Chat is what started my voyager into IRC at a young
age. Been using IRC for maybe 12~13 years now thanks to it.
