Are there Android IRC apps that send out-of-app notifications when
someone joins a channel/talks in the channel?

I have HoloIRC on my phone and I've tried a couple of other Android
apps, but so far, they only seem to send out-of-app notifications if
my nick is queried or mentioned. Are there IRC apps that can notify
you, out-of-app, if users join the channel or talk in the channel in
general?

I'm usually using other apps/windows when I'm on my phone, and I'd
like to be able to keep an eye on channel activity without having to
go in-app every time. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm fairly new
at using IRC and would appreciate app recommendations - thank you!

depends on the thing that stays connected to IRC when you're not.

Like ZNC..

I know you can make something, but I don't know if something currently
exists.

My friend made a 'palaver' integration with ZNC for iOS.

Which means I get push notifications when I get highlighted or
queried, but it only works on iOS.
