I've started using mIRC today to set up a quote bot on twitch reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CognitiveAdventurer · 2015-06-23 15:46 and I have a problem. I can't seem to set the command to only work for moderators or for the broadcaster. It either works for nobody (including the broadcaster) or for everyone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- h3ph43s7u5 · 2015-06-23 16:03 What are you using to make your bot? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- swtsplin · 2015-06-23 16:13 If you are using "($nick isop $chan)" - you need to request "membership" info from server (to receive join\part-info about users) or your bot will see only itself at channel. Command is: /raw CAP REQ :twitch.tv/membership ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CognitiveAdventurer · 2015-06-23 16:37 I did that using the bot's account, I don't know if that's good enough. To get this to work I've been trying different variations of this: on *:TEXT:!addquote *:#: { if ($nick !isOp #) { return } write quotes.txt $2- $+ msg $chan Added: $2- } Is this correct? Thanks for your help! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- swtsplin · 2015-06-23 16:59 Looks fine, but "$+" can be deleted - no use at this point. And if "/raw cap" was done right - you should see other users in nicklist at your bots mIRC. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ComradePyro · 2015-06-23 17:24 The asterisk in the first line denotes user access level, iirc. I haven't touched mIRC script in ages, but if I remember correctly, that's probably your best bet. If 1 is default access on the twitch serv and, say, 5 is op, just do on 5:TEXT: etc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CognitiveAdventurer · 2015-06-23 17:33 Thank you, it works perfectly now! I think maybe it took time to process. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Karunamon · 2015-06-23 20:54 mIRC itself - it's got a pretty capable (if clunky) scripting system built in. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2015-06-24 09:07 use eggdrop instead
