Netfuze Celebrates Its 1-Year Anniversary reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Netfuze ยท 2015-05-27 19:20 Hello patrons of /r/irc, I would like to warmly invite you all here on to join us on our one year re-launch anniversary! One year ago today, I revived a network I first tried starting in 2009, Netfuze. At Netfuze, we are a peaceful community of geeks who enjoy chatting about tech and enjoying root beers together. We're still small, but we've grown a lot since the early days, and we would like you to come and be a part of us. Join us in #coldflame for general chat, or head on over to one of our tech-related channels. In #TechNews we have feeds from various tech sites keeping you up to speed on the latest tech news! We emphatically welcome all to start their own channels and bring their own users, so long as the peace is kept and the rules are followed. We also allow relay bots (just let us know first, please) to channels on other networks. #privacy is one such channel, which relays to /r/privacy's official channel #redditprivacy One thing Netfuze has that is unique to us is NewsBot, which powers #TechNews and other channels. NewsBot, a bot I wrote, pulls articles from RSS feeds and displays their titles, descriptions, and links in assigned channels at regular intervals. The bot will gather articles from all its sources, merge them and sort them by time, and then present any new articles since the last time it checked to the channel in the order of oldest to newest. You can see the commands for how to do this on our Wiki page [here](http://netfuze.net/wiki/index.php/NewsBot). Connect to irc.netfuze.net:6667 or +6697 for SSL - We use Unreal and Anope 2 We support IPv6 on alpha.netfuze.net and SASL on both alpha and beta. Also check out our subreddit, /r/netfuze J|D
