Accessing channel that is already registered to me reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- the_biggest_lie · 2015-04-08 08:26 I created a channel the other night and I just joined it and @ChanServ is in there. I am having trouble identifying myself in there. I don't remember registering it with a password but I tried the only password that I thought it may have been. I can't get in. What have I stuffed up and is there a way to make her email me the password or force me to be OP Sorry for the noobness. I haven't used irc in 15 years and I can't remember a damn thing. thanks everyone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- the_biggest_lie · 2015-04-08 09:07 /msg ChanServ OP ##nrl seems to have worked ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TTSDA · 2015-04-08 15:29 Are you on freenode? If so, the idea is that +o is only meant for performing administrative tasks (kicking, banning), so moderators should only request it from chanserv when it's needed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TingPing · 2015-04-09 10:35 See `/msg chanserv help flags` for info on how to setup automatic op.
