Someone knows another IRC client looking/acting like NoNameScript? reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JestersHat · 2015-03-10 21:46 Working with the newest version of mIRC. Just came back from years away from IRC and wanted to start up again with some friends, but I need a client! I loved my NNscript! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LocutusOfBorges · 2015-03-11 06:47 You *can* get NNScript working with the latest version of mIRC with a bit of effort, but so much is broken that it's not really worth it. Things have moved on. HexChat's the best client available on Windows these days, I'd say- spend a little time with it, and you'll learn to love it. Not quite as customisable as mIRC, but you can still do a fair bit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JestersHat · 2015-03-11 14:21 Yes I did make it work, but a lot is not working, that's why I wanted something similar. Tried HexChat, but don't like the UI. Guess it can be changed with some effort? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LocutusOfBorges · 2015-03-11 14:25 Afraid you're more or less stuck with the default configuration, window-wise. [Here's what mine looks like](http://i.imgur.com/H7gFu6K.png)- I recommend just sticking with it for a few days. Once you're used to it, going back to mIRC (or even NNScript/mIRC 6.x) feels horrible. It's simpler, and much more pleasant to use. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2015-03-22 07:19 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bakurum · 2015-04-06 15:11 Jesus.. Thanks for coupon link. I've been using irc some +10 years or even more, can't recall when it all began. At start I always used mIRC free version/hacked/whateverisnotlegal and slowly ascended to using irssi since it was free and I had my paid shell. Now I've cancelled my shell subscription after many years and installed mIRC and first time ever actually paid for it. I'ts been a long ride..
