Need help connecting to reddit-buildapc on irc using colloquy on
iphone.

Its basically in the title. I used colloquy years ago and irc many
years ago and don't recall any issues. So i saw that channel and
though id check it out. well i got in fine for about and hour and
closed the app. next time i open the app i started getting these
demands that i use sasl. "you need to identify via sasl to use this
server" to be exact. So now I cant even see the chat and i cant
connect to the server. Any ideas? (The whole resister you nick command
idk how to do on the app, and mind you i did not have to do in the
beginning.)

Ok. I think it is a Wi-Fi vs cellular connection issue. Not really
sure but I seem to be able to use it as soon as I got on Wi-Fi.

Yes, this is a cellular issue.

Most IRC networks require SASL when you're connecting from cell
networks, to prevent abuse. Any modern client should support sasl, you
just need to set it up. This lets you authenticate against nickserv
before connecting.
