writing the raw log to a .txt file // Twitch reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rockshiv · 2015-02-11 00:16 Edit: I'm using hexchat So, what I would want to do is to log the.. raw log (yes, you herd I liek logs) Reason for this is because I want to be able to log moderator actions on twitch, and the only place I've found it so far is in the raw log. If someone can inform me of an easier/better way, I will love you long time ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GTB3NW · 2015-02-11 10:48 Write a simple bot which parses lines with a dead simple regex which recognizes moderator actions? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rockshiv · 2015-02-11 12:18 I'd have to learn how first :D Are you confident there is no built in function in any IRC clients which does this for you? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GTB3NW · 2015-02-11 12:23 You can always get the raw logs and find regex strings afterwards. It should be a dead simple project in something like python! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 24cal · 2015-02-11 15:05 grep -e "pattern" log.file > parsed.file ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GTB3NW · 2015-02-11 19:00 Send me some sample lines of moderator actions, I'll see if I can whip something up ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rockshiv · 2015-02-13 02:11 Just to let you know I looked this up with one who knows both a bit of coding and the relation between twitch and IRC. Appearantly it can't be done on that end. I reckon a script for the browser chat could, but I'm not too interested in that. Thank you for offering to help, though!
