I have Windows 8. Can I get an IRC client for it? Also, what are some
good clients? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am new to the
whole IRC thing.

I use hexchat and I like it a lot. If you prefer a web client there's

Mirc or Hexchat are your best bets but you can even use chatzilla with
firefox to get on IRC and it works on every platform that firefox
supports.

depends on which version you're using. 32 bit windows = x86, 64 bit
windows = x64

I used to use hexchat, but now I use an awesome web client for desktop
or mobile called shout. You can try the demo at demo.shout-irc.com

I knew you would! It's based off the old XChat client which has become
an abandoned project, it was the first graphical client I ever used
actually. Scripting also makes everything so much better!

I use ChatZilla for Firefox. So I can be on the internet while I'm on
the internet.
