Trying to find an old AutoGreet script I used to use reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kelven486 · 2014-10-24 20:09 So I'm trying to find this autogreet script I used to use back in 2001-2002. It was able to save multiple quotes per user in a txt file, and randomly pick a quote to say when the user joined the channel. The txt files were located in a folder named "autogreet" in the main IRC folder. The txt files were named per user, and were simply formatted on a 1 line per quote basis. For exmaple, if you wanted the script to autogreet a user named Steve, you'd make a Steve.txt file in the autogreet folder, and then put quotes in that, for example: Welcome back, Steve! It's about time you returned, Steve! Heya Steve, back again? And then, when Steve joined the channel, the script would pick one of those 3 lines to say: « Steve » It's about time you returned, Steve! I've googled my arse off trying to find this script, or a script that does something similar (able to save multiple responses per user), but all I can find are simple, one line autogreets. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zanacross · 2014-10-25 15:23 if you're using mIRC you can put this script in to your remotes http://pastebin.com/gY01rpD9 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kelven486 · 2014-10-25 15:48 Nice thanks! Now to figure out how to get it to read from a specific folder :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2014-10-25 22:46 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kelven486 · 2014-10-26 00:58 thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2014-10-26 01:55 [deleted]
