an IRC bouncer is bouncing from a shell's connection so your IRC
nickname always stays on the network. The best client for iOS is
probably Textual, but there's issi, wee-chat, XChat, and others.
Google to find a client that you like.

Best bouncer is ZNC for sure. I'm assuming you already have that
setup. For iOS I have tried limechat, colloquy, and palaver. Palaver
has the most options but doesn't keep scrollback. So if you switch
apps and go back all history is erased. Limechat is my go to client
for iPad and iPhone.

Colloquy is good if you add the push notification on your server/ZNC
combo and it will push all times your highlighted or pmed.

Setup your own server it's very easy and not worth having the
limitations that resellers put on their ZNC configs.

On iOS, I use Palaver to connect to ZNC on a cloud server.
