Here's some [stats](http://ubuntu.dutnie.nl) on #ubuntu over the last
10 years! While in some cases not fully consistent they do give some
nice insights.

Rough numbers:

* 10 years of logs
* 28.000.000 lines of chat
* 400.000 unique chatters
* 5.500.000 questions asked
* 375.000 unique URLs shared
* and most referenced ccTLD is .NL ;)

There were some technical limitations when creating these stats, such
as some types of messages being absent from the chat logs. I.e. join,
part and quit messages, kicks, action lines for most of the years, and
nick changes with timestamps. Furthermore, the first 3 years of logs
appear to be CET whereas the latter are in UTC. Sadly my computer was
not able to serve on the fly in-depth historical data, so i had to
disable that feature. Still hope people find the results interesting.
