How do I quickly insert a user's name into the chat field with
Hexchat?

Often times, I find myself replying to people, and so I mention their
usernames followed by a colon like so,

ME - User2k: *Hey, User2k how's the weather?*

Is there a way to quickly click on a person's name so I add their
username to the front of my chat field?

You can use the TAB key. Just type the first few characters of the
nick or whatever.

Use<TAB> hey, Use<TAB> how's the weather?
