Help setting up some things on my irc channel

So I've had an irc channel that my friends and I go on quite a bit.
I've been trying to tweak it recently because it's summer and I'm
bored and a few questions of mine have come up.

I've decided to incorporate bots into my channel, the official Rizon
ones like internets and trivia are pretty easy to figure out and are
fun. My question is what the other unofficial bots do. For example, I
messaged the botserv for a list of all available bots. I then added a
Glados bot. Now what? What's it's purpose and how do I make it do
stuff?


My other question concerns the badwords list. This is what I type in
 /msg botserv badwords #channel add word
The botserv then tells me that the word has been added to the badword
list. But it doesn't kick anyone who uses it. What's wrong?

BotServ is really just an extension of ChanServ. It allows for CS
commands to be used in the channel. For example, '/msg ChanServ topic
#channel hello' becomes '.topic hello' (fantasia commands).

As far as bad words are concerned - even though you've added the word,
you need to stipulate the appropriate response (how many times the bot
should kick (as a warning) before the user is banned), see /bs help
kick badwords

Also, Rizon has (in my opinion) one of the best irc wikis around at
http://wiki.rizon.net - you'd be hard pressed to have a question
that's not answered in the wiki, but if so, they also have #help which
is generally quite helpful
