Do you run an IRCd and have a recommendation for a host?
I've tried a handful of inexpensive VPS hosts for this, but there's
always one issue or another.
I'm looking for a host with good uptime that offers plans that aren't
going to ruin my bank account for less than 50 users on a network. I'm
thinking of trying [Xzibition](http://www.xzibition.com/ircds.php)
next, but if anyone has any recommendations or ideas, I'd appreciate
it!

Sadly most hosts don't appreciate IRCd hosting, because IRCs are very
common DDoS targets and therefore high-risk customers. Droplets from
Digital Ocean work pretty well for IRC... And they are very scalable
so that might be something for you. 50 users should run on the $5
droplet.

You could look into [OVH's VPS plans](http://www.ovh.com/us/vps/vps-
classic.xml). They are pretty cheap and would fit your needs, and the
come with basic ddos protection. They start at $2.99 USD.

I'm sure by now you've selected a host, however these guys have proved
reliable time and time again.
