Komanda - IRC for people that write code. reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CashewGuy · 2014-06-16 03:17 This looks great, I'm presently using Linkinus on OS X, but I've been giving this a try, and I'm having a friend of mine (/u/ironpotato do the same). I've noticed some weird issues, such as "/j" shorthand not working (probably not coded), and actions don't work (I see that's an issue). I did create an issue for autojoining not working. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about node.js development, but I'll be watching out to see if I can contribute anything useful. Nice work! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wub_wub · 2014-06-16 20:23 >IRC for people that write code. What the fuck does that mean? As far as I can tell the only thing related to "people that write code" is the built in viewer for certain code snippet hosting websites. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mephux · 2014-06-16 21:10 Uhhff /facepalm read the readme people. Jesus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wub_wub · 2014-06-16 21:12 Read it. Besides maybe some future features there is nothing (besides the code snippet thing I already mentioned) that separates this IRC client from others. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mephux · 2014-06-16 21:26 That's correct - that's why the section with the future features is titled "The Plan". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wub_wub · 2014-06-16 21:29 Fair enough. Sidenote: I'd expect sure features to be on the "todo" list and features that may or may not be implemented in the plan list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mephux · 2014-06-16 21:31 I don't color in the lines. lol, but yea you're right. The reason i released the beta today was to get the client as solid as possible.. have a queue of issues to fix then i'll polish the readme. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MillenniumFalc0n · 2014-06-17 00:39 Textual is another really solid osX client ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheBlackParrot · 2014-06-19 23:08 Can this be used as a web client in place of something like qwebirc?
