[HELP] I'm trying to use IRC for the first time, but it seems like I'm always being disconnected. reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2014-06-03 03:53 When I log in for the first time onto Rizon, it works fine for a while. After a little bit, it disconnects me giving me some error message. If I try to reconnect using a different name, I can see that the account I was logged into earlier is still connected to the channel. Then, quickly, I get the same error message. Then, if I try to log in with a different name, I keep getting that same error message immediately. Currently, I'm banned for 30 minutes because it says I have more than 4 connections, but before the ban everytime I connected with any name, I just got disconnected and couldn't connect to the channel. I'll edit and out the exact error message after I'm unbanned. Can anyone help? Also, everytime I try to set up hexchat with rizon, I get an error saying something about a self-signed certificate. Edit: [Here](http://imgur.com/GIVKtKi) is the error message I always get. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -momoyome- · 2014-06-03 04:21 try connecting to irc.cccp-project.net, (or [any other of rizon's servers](http://wiki.rizon.net/index.php?title=Servers)) but it sounds like your internet connection is going out and the server isn't getting responses from you and pinging you out. Make sure you also register your nick (/msg chanserv register) and follow the directions. When your client disconnects you, ghost your nick (/msg nickserv ghost nick password) and reclaim it.
