I created a Spotify Bot. I use it for controlling a computer in our
office via IRC. Kind of niche uses, but it was fun to develop.

This is an awesome project!

I will totally use it if there is a similar script to control the

Not sure if there is a script for Windows.  Quick googling didn't
reveal anything, at least.

Spotify has AppleScript hooks built into it directly.  I don't think
it has anything like that for Windows.

If you find anything, I could be talked into extending support to
Windows, however :)

[spotifycmd](https://code.google.com/p/spotifycmd/) is a similar thing
for Windows; would be easy to rewrite in a few lines of python w/
[pywin32](http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/).

The Linux Spotify client supports MPRIS so you could use
[pympris](https://github.com/wistful/pympris) for that easily or use
the dozen shell scripts that make use of it.
