How to make a counting script?

For example, a death counter, where each time you use !death it would
add one and message the channel. So when a streamer dies, you could do
!death and it would add one to a grand total. Is this doable?

well.

It'll be really basic to do in whatever scripting language you're
using, but if you want more specific help we'll need to know your
client and if applicable, choice of scripting language.
