What is it about your regular server/channels that keeps you coming
back?

I go on an australian server called AustNet (irc.austnet.org), the
largest channel on there only has 50-80 users at any given time
(#melbourne) but for the amount of users, it's flowing and very
active. The conversation is usually relatable and easy to jump into,
some of the links are incredibly NSFW and some are eye opening and
interesting. There is an eclectic mix of users including full blown
crazies, stoners, alcoholics, nerds, self proclaimed internet badasses
and a meth addict. I keep going back because its like The Breakfast
Club of IRC.

Hi,

What keeps bringing me back is the regular users I've known for years
now and we share mutual interest in the same hobbies while we don't
necessarily agree on a few topics, so we have plenty to chat about.
We also have two channels we run and a sense of community that keeps
us going.

What brings me back is definitely the regular users on our server, and
every now and then we get new people, some stay and are really cool,
some show up act a fool and either leave and never come back or get
banned. I've been on this server for years and its always fun to talk
to people about tons of different topics that I can't really talk
about with friends IRL because they cant relate at all. I love this
server and I hope it stays open for years to come.
