Returning to IRC after many years. reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KKtwo · 2014-01-22 22:18 Hi guys, As the topic says I used to used MIRC many years ago back when Nonamescript was hugely popular. I'm well out of touch with all the scripts now that are in use or still work without being broken. Can anyone suggest me a good theme similar to nonamescript if possible, or just a decent theme in general that I may use with 7.32 of MIRC ? Thanks a bunch. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dasbacon · 2014-01-22 23:56 i'm still running noname with the latest version of mirc, but theres a lot of little bugs. i mostly use it so i can use the theme i've been using for years i recently found out about http://www.adiirc.com/index.php which looks promising, but i have yet to try it out ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KKtwo · 2014-01-22 23:59 Yeah I wish someone had kept it up to date with the latest versions. Thanks. I switched over to Hexchat at the moment, at least the default theme makes everything readable ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sennacheribbo · 2014-01-23 00:26 i'm also still with nns...but not joining that much lately, just freenode and not always.. :( wish good ol' irc was here ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KKtwo · 2014-01-23 00:27 Heh yeah. I spent my youth on Quakenet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tavaryn · 2014-01-23 11:50 If you just want the theme, you can download MTS Theme Engine and find themes for it [here](http://www.mircscripts.org/archive/themes). Although if anything better has come out in the past few years I wouldn't know, I've since switched to HexChat. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eggbean · 2014-01-23 12:26 I still use nnscript with the last version of mIRC that it supports. mIRC hasn't really changed much since then, so I don't mind using the older version. BTW, do not install any older version of mIRC from olderversion.com (not sure if that is the right one), as it is chocked full of malware. Get it from mIRC.com itself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KKtwo · 2014-01-23 16:57 Thanks for the info. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- L4YER · 2014-01-24 12:05 Been using mirc with invision script myself for the last 4 years used noname before that. http://i-n-v-i-s-i-o-n.com/cms/index.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KKtwo · 2014-01-24 15:18 Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ivosaurus · 2014-02-06 08:05 I'd try another free client these days. [HexChat](http://hexchat.github.io/) and [Smuxi](https://www.smuxi.org/main/) asre great. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BLKoldSUN794 · 2023-06-01 12:25 I know its an old topic, but for some users, IRC is still alive and very used. You can find a lot of files here: https://premiumchat.ro/mirc-script.php
