This is exactly what I've been waiting for. Kiwiirc is taking its
sweet time, and another good one whos name escapes me right now is in
a rewrote phase. I just need to learn about perl now.

They are supposed to be releasing a client soon that lets you install
it yourself on your own VPS. and it keeps persistent connections to
multiple servers and channels for you, including logging them. But I
doubt we will see it for a long time.
