Limechat Theme Problem reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2013-11-24 17:59 Hi guys, I downloaded some Limechat themes and put them in the correct folder. When I go to change the theme via the preferences file in Limechat I just get a basic white theme, no matter which theme I choose. I got all my [themes here] (https://github.com/jschoolcraft/Limechat- Themes/tree/master/Themes) and I saved them by right mouse clicking and choosing "save as". Maybe I have done something wrong? [Here is what the user themes look like, no matter which one I choose](http://i.imgur.com/WpoQ9mf.png) Any help is appreciated! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2013-11-25 14:01 Hi there Im not sure about your issue but Ask in ##limechat on Freenode ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LostInInaka · 2013-11-25 16:27 Probably the trouble is you did the right click/save as, which saved the link as an HTML type file rather than the HTML...you need to go to the web page for each link and download the RAW version of the files Of you can just download the zip package on the main page and get everything in one to (or via git clone on the command line if u have the command line tools installed) If you go to https://github.com/jschoolcraft/Limechat-Themes there are some directions to follow on the bottom of the page there that may help - look at the rake file for instance... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2013-11-25 18:05 Hi LostInInaka, I have the files as .css and .yaml files. The rake file thing looks complicated. :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2013-11-25 19:37 I love those Limechat Themes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LostInInaka · 2013-11-26 04:21 It looks complicated, but its probably quite easy! You should give it ago..using the command line is fun! If you have the css and yaml files by right clicking and saving as, then they won't work...download the whole zip and extract and put in the right place from there ...or find the file and open it up in a texteditor and the first few lines of a css file should be similar to this: html { font-family: 'Monaco'; font-size: 9pt; background-color: #201810; color: #BBB; word-wrap: break-word; margin: 0; padding: 0; } If the lines don't look like that, it didn't download correctly --> go download the zip of the WHOLE archive using this link [https://github.com/jschoolcraft/Limechat- Themes.git](https://github.com/jschoolcraft/Limechat-Themes.git) ...and a quick google search came up with the point that you should just drop the files in to > ~/Library/Application Support/LimeChat/Themes/ Hope that helps! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2013-11-26 10:28 Thanks - got it sorted with downloading the .zip file. :-) I guess it would be easy enough to make your own themes.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LostInInaka · 2013-11-26 14:47 easy maybe...just having enough uninterrupted time....
