Noob trying to make a script work with Hexchat

Hey guys, I'd like to create a script to achieve this:


When TRoulio says 'Room 123456 needs moderation' in #foukri, I want my
script to make me respond 'Watching 123456'.


The issue is the number 123456 will vary, but will always be at the
same position in TRoulio's message.


I've found this perl [script](https://github.com/hexchat/hexchat-
addons/blob/master/perl/textualdynambot/textualdynambot.conf) which is
supposed to "perform any command based on what is said in a channel".
I'm trying to configure it properly. Problem is I have zero knowledge
of how perl works so I'd be grateful if some of you could enlighten
me.


So far, I thought my config text should look something like:


+in: #foukri:action:message


+from: TRoulio


capnum: 3


captime: 600


[text: room needs moderation]


command: say Watching %123456%




Obviously, I have no clue on how to make my script 'read' the changing
number and repeat it in my message. Not sure if I'm correct for the
rest. If you know on another method to achieve what I want (not a bot
though), I'm fine as long as it works for Hexchat.


I've added the capnum and captime so that I don't start spamming the
channel.
