IRC noob needs help

I was using mIRC for about a month but then the 30 month free trial
expired and it was bugging me to register. So I decided to get
HyrdaIRC. I want to use the same nick that I used before.

How do I go about getting my old, already registered "nick" back?

if you buy mIRC you get to be part of an elite club. I was #26 to buy
it. I bet right now they're at ~60 ;)
despite that it was downloaded millions of times.

We should form a subreddit. Apparently i'm the only other guy to ever
buy WinRAR. Just me and the guy who wrote it.

it's old. mIRC I bought in like 1999. at that time the owner made an
entry in his website to thanks that person "personally" for the
purchase. at that time mIRC had millions of downloads a month but only
a handful of people bought it.

yeah, probably the same with winrar.
