Help loading mirc scripts reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tokeacola · 2012-11-06 15:43 I've downloaded a pack of scripts for mirc. 359 of them to be exact. I had these scripts loaded before my computer crashed, and I recall that I loaded them manually one by one by doing /load -rs boos.mrc (boos.mrc is just an example). I would really prefer to not go through that again; is there any way to load multiple mirc scripts in one command? I've tried /load -rs *.mrc, and I've gone into scripts editor, pressed File > Load, but it only allows me to select one file at a time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anthaneezy · 2012-11-06 16:18 I can only think of two things: * Open a command prompt, navigate into the folder which has all these scripts, and use: dir /b Copy and paste that into Excel at A2. Then at A1 type /load -rs. Then select the little box at the bottom right and drag it down. This will extend the series of data to however long you make it. Then export that as a text file. Open it up in Notepad, remove any delimiters like commas, then copy and paste it into mirc. The text file should look something like: /load -rs c:/scripts/one.mrc /load -rs c:/scripts/two.mrc /load -rs c:/scripts/three.mrc ##### Secondly, you could try making an alias of it, the same as above, but using this format: alias myscripts { load -rs scripts/script1.mrc load -rs scripts/script2.mrc load -rs scripts/script3.mrc } Then /myscripts load Source: http://forums.mirc.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/2369 97/page/3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tokeacola · 2012-11-06 16:30 Both of those ideas sound genius. I'll report back once I've tried it. edit: Excel trick worked! Thank you sir ---------------------------------------------------------------------- meeb · 2012-11-06 18:18 Unrelated to your question, but blindly loading 300+ scripts is a terrible, terrible idea. Never load scripts you don't know exactly what it does, they can do anything (including execute remote code) without your permission. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tokeacola · 2012-11-06 19:25 Yeah I know. I've had every one of these scripts loaded before though, so I was sure they would be safe. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2012-11-13 07:55 [deleted]
