customizing mirc for a first time user?

is there a script that is set up so i don't have to spend a bunch of
time figuring out how to customize everything individually like
putting in time stamps, changing color schemes, notifications, maybe
better font, etc...?

There is no one script to do all that for you.

There's a bunch of [themes](http://www.mircscripts.org/archive/themes)
out there already but as austindkelly said, there won't be a pre-
defined one that will suit you perfectly, as you'd need to change it
yourself!

There is plenty of fully written scripts that will customize this for
you. If you find one that supports the KTE engine, you can load your
own themes or design your own.

I still use ircN for customizing, I'd post screenshots of mine but I'm
in the middle of moving so pc is in a box and I'm redditing from my
phone.  You install ircN over a fresh mIRC install and it walks you
through a bunch of steps.  Should be a ton of themes out there as
well.

ahh thanks! helped a lot! i was looking through scripts when i should
have been looking for themes!

i've got a new problem now though! if i like the theme i'm using, but
don't like the font and want to change the timestamp format. if i
change those manually, how do i save my new settings onto the theme?
every time i exit out of mirc and open it back up, it'll revert back
to the default settings.

I personally use [Kamek's Theme
Engine](http://www.mircscripts.org/comments.php?cid=1194) for mIRC.
its possible to get a ton more themes than what's included with the
script.
