Are we currently looking for IRC mods? (I figured this was the most
reasonable place to get the answer I wanted, as mods wanted section
had nothing to do with IRC just subreddits.)
Also are we allowed to use bots in public rooms, or just private
channels?
I mean clearly you can't really say no to someone who owns the
channel, but what kind of things are allowed in public rooms?

As long as they're not malicious, bots should be fine on -any-
network.

What's allowed in public rooms is up to the channel founder.

Generally speaking, though, as long as the bot isn't annoying, it'll
be allowed.
