Server wide zombie apocalypse...anyone interested?

I am in a few of the reddit channels on Freenode, and randomly we get
little mini zombie uprisings. One user starts getting bitey and all
hell breaks loose. People start changing their name to Zombie_whatever
and insanity ensues. But this generally dies down quickly and things
go back to normal.

But I was thinking...we could probably organize this in such a way
that, together, we could start the Great Freenode Zombie Apocalypse of
2012. Try and "infect" the server! Oh sure, some people won't play
along, and jumping into new channels trying to kill everyone might get
us banned, but I think it could be worth it. I think it would be
interesting to see which channels succumb to the virus and which put
up a fight. How many people will play along? How many channels will we
get kicked from?

But anyways, I can't do this on my own, one little zombie gets killed
very quickly. Today I was shot in the face within two minutes of
becoming a zombie. It was unfortunate.

So what's the general reaction? I think this could be really fun to
sort of document as a social experiment of sorts. I also just like
pretending to be a zombie on IRC.

EDIT: So what with the switch to snoonet, I think this could be even
better, considering there won't be a ton of non-reddit channels we'd
be pissing off. Any tactical ideas?

I think this would only work with an opt-in for channels, as joining
random channels and spamming "fun" zombie stuff would just make people
angry.
