Chanserv should have a rules option reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sje46 · 2012-03-14 22:29 Just something I reaized after three years of IRCing. It doesn't appear that any implementation of services (at least, not anope) have a "rules" option for chanserv. You kinda just have to read the topic or entrymsg for every channel you join and open up a page in your web- browser Instead, it should be /msg chanserv rules #channel and it'll just give you all the rules there for the channel, right in your client. I understand most newbies wouldn't necessarily think to do that and therefore webpages would still be necessary, but it would still be nice to have that option for people who don't want to open up their browser each time. Just a thought. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TehZomB · 2012-03-15 00:19 Most bots can do that. There are a lot of scripts out there for clients to do that. Most fserve scripts support !rules too. There are already many methods to do what you're asking for. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jdhore1 · 2012-04-25 07:40 When Freenode (or other networks) upgrades to Atheme 6.0, it will show the entrymsg in the ChanServ INFO command.
