DCC speed issue (mIRC)

Hi. I've got a 100mbit (up and down) connection and no firewall, yet
I'm only sending at 80-120kb/s to people with good connections
themselves. What can I do to make it better? I'm not too familiar with
mIRC, so maybe there's some settings or something I could tweak a bit.
I know speeds higher than this are possible with DCC, I've received
things at 1mb/s+ before. Any tips on how to improve the speed would be
appreciated. Thanks.
