I have made a X-Chat-WDK Plugin which detects urls and then grabs
information from reddit pertaining this link and displays it to the
IRC Channel. I ssearched for this functionality all over the internet,
so I decided to create it myself.

Features:

*Grabs Information from a Reddit Post
*Grabs Information from a Reddit Comment
*Grabs Comment Information from Reddit
*Grabs Information from Youtube
*Grabs Information from an outside link which was posted on reddit
recently
*Unshortens URLs, if needed

I wrote a PHP server which does most of the work, and then the python
script (The X-Chat Plugin) simply gets the information from this. In
an optimal case, the client X-Chat plugin would do this work as well,
but I decided to make the heavy work in PHP since I know it more, and
also to have an API in case I wanted to use it for other reasons. If
someone would like to port the server to the client, that would be
great!


I will allow you to simply use my server (@
http://darksupply.com/api/reddit) as the server. But, please be aware
that I pay for this server and if it's being overloaded I may need to
limit access.

Please give me feedback, and if you know what you're doing Fork the
project and add your own updates! (Also please be aware I am new to
GitHub)

Other use cases:

*If you stream videos on twitch.tv, justin.tv, or ustream and allow
your users to post links, this may be useful. These services use IRC
as there backend for comments, meaning you can connect and have a bot
your room which monitors for links.
