[Help]Noob Question - Becoming mod for channel I created long ago

I created a channel under a username and a friend was guiding me how
to register the channel (#reddit-csuf). I have not used that channel
for a while and I want to get back to using it.

The issue is every time I log-in with the user name I registered the
channel with, I am not a moderator in the channel. How do I become the
moderator for the channel I register a long time ago? I do not know
much IRC commands or how it works. I use freenode's webchat.

It gives me:
>-ChanServ- You are not authorized to perform this operation.

Does this mean my username is not registered to the channel? When my
friend was helping me, he was kind of new to the whole IRC commands so
we might of made a mistake while registering the channel.

Since I use http://webchat.freenode.net/ as the chatting client, am I
suppose to use the *Auth to services* to give me permission as a mod
when logging in?

You need to identify to NickServ, either by the authentication to
services feature of webchat, or by typing /msg NickServ identify
hunter2.

That way, ChanServ knows who you are.

You should make sure your nickname is interbol -- that's the sole user
that has access to #reddit-csuf at this moment.

Oh, and you actually have to be on that channel for the /cs op command
to work.
