rookie question. reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DeltaGolf791 · 2011-08-29 19:16 obviously...i'm new to reddit. i was wondering if there was a way to view a page of all the different chat rooms in reddit? i was on the main one and no one could seem to give me a straight answer... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- livejamie · 2011-08-29 20:46 The reddit room is hosted on one of the largest irc networks in the world called freenode - so you shoudn't think of the rooms being in reddit itself - they're in freenode. There's an unofficial list [here](http://freenode.net/primary_groups.shtml), or you can type /list in your client. You can also filter your search, if you type "/list reddit" you'll get any room with "reddit" in the channel name or topic. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Paradox · 2011-08-29 21:30 On freenode, you can do `/msg alis list #reddit-*` for a list of reddit channels. There are others, but this is the most comprehensive list. I wouldn't recommend doing `/list` on any decent sized IRC server, as you will get a metric shitload of channels ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DeltaGolf791 · 2011-08-29 22:20 thanks to both of you! :) i'll keep all this in mind. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Skuld · 2011-08-30 15:35 Perhaps put a link in the sidebar of r/irc - http://irc.netsplit.de/channels/?chat=reddit ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2011-09-01 05:29 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Xianas · 2011-09-07 23:55 Aww I would, I love looking at all the topics. Hours of entertainment.
