different subreddits....no clue where you are on irc but clearly it's
not the channel seeing as how there are around 600 or so on right now.

Yeah, you've gotta connect to irc.freenode.net first, and *then* to
#reddit.

Unfortunately, it's true. The users in #Reddit aren't the smartest,
and it's really hard to hold a good... hell, a decent conversation in
there.

[Linkinus](http://www.conceitedsoftware.com/linkinus) for mac. Yes, it
costs money, but it works tremendously well

Word of warning, it's a memory hog. Take a look at Textual which looks
similar in the latest preview version and is much easier on the
resources.
