Hi folks, I would like to remind everyone of our channel, #reddit-
canada. We are currently discussing what rules we would like to have
in our channel. I figure that this thread can serve as a place for
this discussion.
Our moderators will be responsible for facilitating discussion in the

No biting.

Well standard fare in IRC channels:

* no flooding/spamming - insta-kickban
* no blatant anti-race/sex/ethnic/national/queer/class hate
* no general douchebaggery (hard to define)

I certainly agree with your first two suggestions. If something is
longer than 2 or 3 lines, use a pastebin. Hate should not be
tolerated.

General douchebaggery is hard to define so I'm not sure if it would be
possible to make that into a rule.

Aren't those general FreeNode rules, anyway?
