Unofficial list of reddit IRC channels reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 08:04 Here is an unofficial list of all reddit related IRC channels and their corresponding subreddits. If you are an operator or founder of any of these channels and want the channel to be omitted, please PM a mod of this subreddit and list will be edited accordingly. Similarly, if you're an operator or founder of any channels related to a subreddit that you don't see on the list, ask them nicely and they'll add it. Much thanks to Thibit for the master list from which I'm reconstructing. ##[Freenode.net](http://freenode.net): `#askreddit` - [/r/askreddit](/r/askreddit) `#appengine` - [/r/appengine](/r/appengine) `#BDSMcommunity` - [/r/BDSMcommunity](/r/BDSMcommunity) & [/r/BDSMGW](/r/BDSMGW) *(NSFW)* `#austinreddit` - [/r/austin](/r/austin) `#bdsmgw` - [/r/bdsmgw](/r/bdsmgw) `#brisbane` - [/r/Brisbane](/r/Brisbane) `##circlejerk` - [/r/circlejerk](/r/circlejerk) `#collapse` - [/r/collapse](/r/collapse) `#cstart` - [/r/tothemoon](/r/tothemoon) `#craftit` - [/r/craftit](/r/craftit) `#fringetv` - [/r/fringe](/r/fringe) `#GirlGamers` - [/r/girlgamers](/r/girlgamers) `#gnu` - [/r/gnu](/r/gnu) `#googlewave` - [/r/wave](/r/wave) `#haskell` - [/r/haskell](/r/haskell) `#lgbtreddit` - [/r/lgbt](/r/lgbt) `##libertarian` - [/r/libertarian](/r/libertarian) `##logic` - [/r/logic](/r/logic) `#minecraft` [/r/minecraft](/r/minecraft) `#mises` - [/r/mises](/r/mises) `##MLS` - [/r/MLS](/r/MLS) `#/r/nyc` - [/r/nyc](/r/nyc) `#oftn` - [/r/oftn](/r/oftn) *private* `#ogreddit` - `#OneY` - [/r/OneY](/r/OneY) `#ocreddit` - [/r/orangecounty](/r/orangecounty) `##proggit` - [/r/programming](/r/programming) `##queeg` - Trvia & Poker bots `#r.trees` - [/r/trees](/r/trees) `#ranarchism` - [/r/anarchism](/r/anarchism) `#reddit` - **Official Channel** `#reddit-dev` - Developer's hangout for reddit *(Registered nicks only)* `#redditanime` [/r/anime](/r/anime) `#redditbaseball` [/r/baseball](/r/baseball) `#redditcfb` [/r/cfb](/r/cfb) `#redditcanada` [/r/canada](/r/canada) `#redditdowntime` - Main for unregistered nicks `#redditgamejam` - [/r/redditgamejam](/r/redditgamejam) `#reddithouston` - [/r/houston](/r/houston) `#reddit-lounge` - [/r/lounge](/r/lounge)? *Invite only. Also, I wonder what the policy is for the girl channels concerning male users. Giggity. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 10:10 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- V2Blast · 2010-11-01 10:25 Which ones are actually used by more than, say, 10 people? Just wondering. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dihydrogen_monoxide · 2010-11-01 11:54 **mwahahahhahaaha** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- shastapete · 2010-11-01 12:32 \#/r/nyc - [/r/nyc](http://nyc.reddit.com) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- demented_pants · 2010-11-01 15:49 FYI, /r/twoxchromosomes is sometimes registered only if we're having troll problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 17:17 Added to the list, thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 17:17 Updated, thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 17:18 /join and discover! It's actually quite fun meeting new communities this way. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NicolaeDebevec · 2010-11-01 17:46 #reddithouston for [/r/Houston](http://www.Reddit.com/r/Houston) #reddit-poker for [r/poker](http://www.reddit.com/r/poker) #reddit-nfl for [r/nfl](http://www.reddit.com/r/nfl) #redditcfb for [r/cfb](http://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/) #redditbaseball for [r/baseball](http://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lingrush · 2010-11-01 18:02 Be respectful, no hitting on, trolling is only okay if it's clever (or not at all, in most channels). In #girlgamers, you should talk about games, make friends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyoti · 2010-11-01 18:02 #craftit for [/r/craftit](http://www.reddit.com/r/craftit) and #BDSMcommunity for [/r/BDSMcommunity](http://www.reddit.com/r/BDSMcommunity) and [/r/BDSMGW](http://www.reddit.com/r/BDSMGW) are two new channels. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Moldavite · 2010-11-01 18:04 i seemed to be banned from several of these... hmmmm ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 18:11 So basically like #reddit. lul ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lingrush · 2010-11-01 18:16 I forgot that the baseline geekiness for redditors was pretty high. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 18:30 Well, I don't like to brag, but #redditors are really the cream of the crop, too. Even our trolls (me) are awesome. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sephr · 2010-11-01 19:17 I don't think #gnu, #minecraft, or #haskell are reddit channels. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 19:42 They're not officially associated with reddit, but they're mentioned on their respective subreddits, so one would assume that there would be minecraft, gnu and haskell redditors present. See the sidebars over at [minecraft.reddit.com](http://minecraft.reddit.com), [haskell.reddit.com](http://haskell.reddit.com), and every other channel listed above. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 19:53 Added 'em all. Thanks so much. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 20:10 Thanks, I added them to the list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Unclemeow · 2010-11-01 20:30 #reddit-tf2 /r/tf2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BritishEnglishPolice · 2010-11-01 20:31 I made #minecraft for reddit minecrafters et al. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 20:52 Added! Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-01 20:59 There are more even more sekret channels that I'm sure even **I** don't know about. IRC is a fickle mistress. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 21:19 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 21:48 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 22:29 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 22:40 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 22:42 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-01 23:37 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- poop_in_yo_soup · 2010-11-04 19:33 #subreddit should be on the list tbh ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bananabelle · 2010-11-08 09:30 r/orangecounty started a new IRC channel at #ocreddit ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-08 16:03 Thanks, I added that info the list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- handl3r · 2010-11-14 19:48 \#redditcanada for /r/canada ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SeriouslyLaughing · 2010-11-14 21:22 Added, thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-14 21:36 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-20 16:28 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2010-11-23 11:01 Add ##transreddit please :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- moolcool · 2010-12-20 18:30 #redditcanada ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BritishEnglishPolice · 2010-12-20 20:39 The chan is better now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BritishEnglishPolice · 2010-12-20 20:40 What's that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- poop_in_yo_soup · 2010-12-20 21:59 It's an irc channel related to reddit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- aperson · 2010-12-20 22:03 Nou. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- poop_in_yo_soup · 2010-12-20 22:05 Wtf, why has this thread suddenly become active?! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- aperson · 2010-12-20 22:09 Three letters: BEP ---------------------------------------------------------------------- poop_in_yo_soup · 2010-12-20 22:12 You stalking him bro? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- aperson · 2010-12-20 22:18 No, but he's the one that stirred up activity in this thread. Not too many people here regularly, but activity tends to pick up on Sunday evenings and continues through Mondays as the show airs around the world. From [r/gameofthrones](http://www.reddit.com/r/gameofthrones). #fittit - A chan for those who are ready to GET FIT! We're very supportive and happy to help anyone with questions! From [r/fitness](http://www.reddit.com/r/fitness). Both of these are on Freenode.
