Anyway, this is a question regarding the graphics cards on this laptop, specifically the Intel Graphics 630. I know that FreeBSD uses DRM-KMOD for integrated graphics but I was wondering how would I know I'm using the latest up to date drivers? If you look at the dmesg out below you'll see a bunch of DRM errors. X windows loads fine, no errors there. A few days ago, I had in /etc/rc.conf ; kldload=/boot/modules/i915kms.ko instead of just i915kms and the system spewed some message about drm not loading properly? I forget the exact message. Anyway currently I have it set to just i915kms. Also as far as the Nvidia Graphics card goes I'm able to run nvidia- settings and the GUI program loads.
