Hello

I couldn't get this to work

I followed the handbook but it doesn't work (drm-kmod, xf86-\*, set
rc.conf, X --configure, 10-dri.conf)

Is it because the card is a bit exotic?

Make sure your user is part of the "video" group.

Delete all xorg config files as xorg has an excellent autodetect
feature these days.

Start xorg as root to check if hardware acceleration works as root,
might be a permission issue.

Yeah ive done all that, no permission issue

Xorg when i installed the gpu didnt automatically detect it i had to
configure it to work, maybe because of the odd card

Thanks.

I solved it, it was due to user error (me) not freebsd, i uninstalled
llvm 15 and kept 16 as it interfered with my gpu (driver doesnt work
two runtimes an' all that), when i went to upgrade mesa installed
llvm15 again this time without issues as i guess it detected my gpu on
install so no problems there
