hi,

does anyone runs the newest stable freebsd on this laptop?

it works fine with linux 5.9 or whatever ubuntu lts uses as standard;
it also works fine with newer editions.

i'm mostly concerned about:

wi-fi (kinda obviously)
battery life (also kinda obvious)

extra keys like mute/volume up etc

fingerprint reader

cheers

Check here, if you haven’t already: https://bsd-hardware.info/. Also,
run a live system like nomad bsd, for instance, and run the tool that
creates content on the above site. Then you will get a good idea about
what will and what most probably won’t work.

Which tool are you mentioning?

Interesting, that's not amongst the specified options.

Do you mean FreeBSD-STABLE, or FreeBSD-RELEASE?
