compiling LASH and Cat9 on FreeBSD reddit / freebsd ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Unique_Lake · 2023-05-16 13:20 Hi, I have to make LASH the default shell on FreeBSD with Cat9 running as a shell script and I need a list of commands in order to compile those two programs together from Github. I also need to install the CHICKEN package to use it as a compiler for LASH, How do I do this? What commands are needed to compile these three? You can install chicken dependencies with \`chicken-install \` but you must be root since it will install into /usr/local The rest i dont know ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Weretiger246 · 2023-05-17 06:55 I am not sure but that "Cat9" is not relate to Vitor Araujo's LASH, is it? The "LASH" part of the project is simply put that there is Lua programing language behind. (It also seems not relate to original Lua- shell (LASH) announced in year of 2001, though.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cjd166 · 2023-05-17 11:13 If you absolutely need this setup, I suggest Debian 7 or 9. 🤷
