Swap file is not loading automatically

I have created swap file and added this line to fstab

md42 none swap sw,file=/root/swap1 0 0

But created swap file is not started on turning on. What should I do?

You probably need to add “,late” to the options. Then test with
“swapon -aL”

Which version of FreeBSD, exactly?

`freebsd-version -kru ; uname -aKU`


Which file system did you choose when installing the OS: ZFS (the
default) or UFS?
