Is there anyone running FreeBSD on Gigabyte Aero or Aorus Laptop? reddit / freebsd ---------------------------------------------------------------------- deaddodo · 2023-03-28 07:56 It’s useless to ask about specific models (other than the ones that are standouts for working perfectly). Find the specs and see if the specific hardware works. WIFI6 is a no go. Integrated Intel is limited to certain generations. AMD Radeon should be fine. Nvidia muxing (hybrid with intel graphics, it’s labeled as Optimus) is off the table, but dedicated nvidia should be fine. Synaptics and Wacom touchpads work. Bluetooth is hit or miss. The rest is mostly commodity standards and shouldn’t have issues. You could also just flash the image to a USB drive, boot it up and see what hardware it reports. “pciconf -lv” is the command you’re looking for. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- inquisitive-user_ · 2023-03-28 09:32 I was interested to know about the temperature and fan control if someone uses any laptop made by Gigabyte.
