Has anyone switched to using the pvscsi driver introduced in 13.0? Did
your performance improve? I haven't managed to find any benchmarks, or
experiences using it. My usecase is for disk io bound database
servers.

in theory, paravirtualized drivers have less overhead, so the same I/O
load could generate less CPU load.

If you are not limited by CPU performance, you may not notice I/O
performance diffrence.

I'd recommend running benchmark yourself, with specifically the
software that you are using. For example, pgbench if you are using
postgresql.
