Does Firefox on FreeBSD support WebRTC? reddit / freebsd ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-01-20 05:28 Historically, when I needed to use Zoom on FreeBSD, I used Chromium. Right now, Chromium is crashing whenever I use Zoom. I tried [**zoom.us/test**](https://zoom.us/test) on Firefox and it seemed to work, but I am unsure if Zoom with multiple participants would crash due to WebRTC. Does WebRTC (or Zoom/Teams calls) work on Firefox on FreeBSD? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mirror176 · 2022-01-20 07:24 https://www.webrtc-experiment.com/DetectRTC/ under my Firefox install implies no to WebRTC. I have only used zoom on this computer through Firefox on FreeBSD during a FreeBSD hosted event. I was just a viewer though I did type in zoom chat. There were multiple people present with webcam+mic. If you have the opportunity, testing it would be best to check if it will work. I recommend that even if on Mac or Windows as I used to see customers with either not working right with Zoom. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- avgapon · 2022-01-20 09:46 I used to use WebRTC with Firefox and webcamd. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- grahamperrin · 2022-01-20 23:10 > testing it would be best Agreed. I can't find any WebRTC-specific bug report in FreeBSD Bugzilla, and (unless I'm missing something) does not indicate a problem.
