resolution stuck

im on a raspberry pi 400. i have set up xorg with lxqt. my resolution
is 592x448. when running xrandr it says that this is the maximum
resolution despite me having a uhd monitor connected to it. i would
like to set the res to full hd and change the refresh rate, but it
only shows me this resolution as available…

Have you looked at the efi boot settings? You can change the native
resolution in there

If it's an x issue, you'll have to use xrandr along with the --output
and --mode then put it In .xinitrc or in xsetup if your using xdm
