Cannot install plugins in Chromium reddit / freebsd ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yunke13 路 2021-09-15 10:22 Hi! Excuse me if I'm asking for something evident, but every time I try to install a plugin in Chromium (uBlock, etc), I only can obtain this message: "FAILED\_TO\_COPY\_EXTENSION\_FILE\_TO\_TEMP\_DIRECTORY". Please, anybody could help me? I'm using a FreeBSD 13-RELEASE upgraded with security patches, and AMD64 platform. The desktop is a KDE installed from binary packages Thank you in advance!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AntoineDarquier 路 2021-09-17 10:41 I think this is due to a bug. I can install uBlock in Chromium in FreeBSD 12.2 and I use Xfce. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yunke13 路 2021-09-17 11:18 Can you major t'he install withouth t'he help of others plug-ins? I think that there is a prohibition from Google to use the Google Chrome store 馃 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nick-6 路 2021-09-18 11:53 I found others having the same issue on [freebsd forum](https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/chromium-kicks-up-an-error- installing-extensions.82056/) . Please let me know if you found the solution. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- linunixer 路 2021-09-18 23:54 Looks a new bug imported from the new version(92.0.4515.159) Chromium on FreeBSD. I confirmed that I installed some extensions in version 91 Chromium on FreeBSD successfully. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AntoineDarquier 路 2021-09-19 12:33 I would like to update my previous comment. I thought I could still install uBlock and other extensions, because uBlock still worked perfectly on my Chromium browser. But today I tried to install the Ecosia plugin, and I got the same error. So it seems that plugins you had installed in the past continue to work, but you can't install a new plugin right now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yunke13 路 2021-09-19 13:33 In my case, I'm starting from a new installation 馃様 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- linunixer 路 2021-09-23 21:10 Today get a update chromium: 92.0.4515.159\_1 -> 92.0.4515.159\_2, but the same issue is still not resolved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yunke13 路 2021-09-30 17:11 Maybe it's a good idea to post a bug at chromium@freebsd.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nonetrixwastaken 路 2021-10-23 07:56 Might be worth trying to manually copy the extension where it needs to be, but I have no idea how to do this ctrxextractor is a start ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rogellparadox 路 2021-11-02 22:56 Same happens to me in my XFCE4 desktop :/
