IAM solution recommendation? reddit / freebsd ---------------------------------------------------------------------- VanaTallinn · 2020-11-15 22:48 I am looking into IAM solutions (Gluu, OpenAM, now trying Keycloak). What do you use or have you encountered in your freebsd journey? Gluu seemed nice to avoid setting all the parts separately but unfortunately is linux only. I gave up on OpenAM because it needs more memory that I can afford to even install... java ftw. Keycloak although java too seems more promising - at least it seems to run, I just need to sort out some issues with the reverse proxy if I understood well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- meatmechdriver · 2020-11-15 23:49 You can run many linux binaries on FreeBSD thanks to the linux emulation layer. You can read about it in the handbook. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hamilcar98 · 2021-01-21 16:26 Did any of these options work out for you? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- VanaTallinn · 2021-01-21 20:04 I stuck with Keycloak. Mind you it’s just a personal server deployment, but it’s quite nice ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hamilcar98 · 2021-01-22 01:26 Did you run into any difficulties getting it to run on FreeBSD? I spent a few hours looking into this very issue last night without any option standing out as the obvious choice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- VanaTallinn · 2021-01-22 20:48 No issues, just had to make my own rc script but I think that was all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-01-06 12:10 [removed]
